Kieser

Experience the benefits of Kieser’s health-focused strength training! Their programs help you stay active, no matter what your age is. Reduce pain, delay or avoid surgery, and boost your mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

What is it?

Kieser has a network of physiotherapy, exercise physiology and strength training clinics with 25 locations across Australia. Their active approach to the management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease and rehabilitation is designed to help provide the best pathway to recovery or long-term self-management.

Specialising in health-focused strength training, Kieser empowers individuals to continue pursuing their passions regardless of age. The integrated Kieser programs aim to:

  • Reduce pain and improve functional outcomes for clients with osteoarthritis or back pain.

  • Delay or possibly avoid surgery.

  • Maximise function to improve mobility during physical activity.

  • Increase overall strength to improve mobility and quality of life.

You'll have an individualised care plan developed for you that includes:

  • An initial assessment with a physiotherapist.
  • One-on-one sessions with a physiotherapist.
  • One-on-one training sessions with an exercise scientist or exercise physiologist.
  • An individualised strengthening program using the Swiss engineered equipment at Kieser.
  • Access to the Kieser App.
  • Ongoing assessments to evaluate your improvement.
  • A home exercise program and education program.
  • A discharge self-management plan.

The length of the program varies depending on your condition - the hip and knee program runs for 18 weeks while the spinal program runs for 22 weeks.

Additional services including a dietitian and onward referral to a range of other health services can be provided when appropriate.
